Email Marketing – #7 Review of Constant Contact

By Karen Brunet | April 2, 2009

One of the email service providers people often ask me about is Constant Contact.  This article will give you an overview of features and benefits.

Constant Contact is used by many Internet marketers.  And everyone I have talked to liked using it.

Some of the benefits include a low fee of only $15 per month, a generous 60 day free trial, easy to use HTML templates for sending high impact emails and newsletters, and a built in online survey feature.

The HTML templates super easy to use.  There are over 300 templates for you to choose from and thousands of photo choices to include in your template to attract attention to your information.

The online survey feature allows you to easily create online surveys and have the data collected stored in your customer database at Constant Contact.

However, if you are considering using Constant Contact, know that it isn’t as feature rich as many other email service providers.

One user told me they found the autoresponder capability too limited in features to even be considered for serious autoresponder use.  They really liked the HTML email templates, though.

Is it the right choice for your business?  It’s important to find an autoresponder service that you both like and feel comfortable using, especially if you are handling the technical details yourself.

I would recommend getting the opinion of an online marketing consultant who is familiar with your business to help you decide.

Or you could try their 60 day free trial and compare it to another email service provider, like AWeber, to see which you like more.

Do you use and like Constant Contact?  Have a question?  Please leave a comment and let us know your opinion.
